What makes me a great salesman?
I said great because I'm not the best yet. I enjoy reading the success stories of salesmen in the past that did great things like Joe Girard. The man was a genius and a grinder and I have a lot of respect for salesmen like him. He's absolutely right to separate yourself from the rest of the salesmen in the world you have to work harder then the rest. There is a huge difference between hard work back then and hard work now. 90% of people believe what they read/see on the internet. 90%! There are sales 24/7, add units with low prices, companies that call salesmen liars and thieves and claim they can get the consumer the best deal by going through their process. All I am saying is it's different now and it takes a hell of a salesmen to change the perception of a customer from seeing you as a thief. Perception is one of my favorite words. Because everything I do in sales is based on perception. Can I get you the best deal ever? Can I make the process easy? Will I save you the most money? The answer is YES. But, even if I was to show you right away what the best deal is, you would not believe it. Why? Because perception. I have to go through the steps to make a customer feel like they are getting the best deal possible. Show discounts, show trade-in values on KBB/NADA and even may have to go back and fourth once or twice to give the perception that they got the best deal. What makes me a great salesman is that when you first meet me I will have a warm smile, I will figure out what you want in a new or used vehicle, I will do a proper presentation on a vehicle I think would fit your needs, we will go on a nice demo so you get a good feel for the vehicle, and I will ask open ended questions to find out how you really feel about the vehicle. I will get you the best deal possible without you having to try, I will build so much rapport you will consider me a friend, and I will even know you by name when you visit. You don't only buy a vehicle from me, you get a salesman that will go out of his way to make sure you are happy. If you are in the market for a vehicle try and find a salesman like me, don't always fall for the false advertisements. Find a salesman that wants to be a salesman as a career not just a temporary way to gain so much needed money. That's the difference between salesmen like me and others. Keep up with my blog I may spill out more information about how to become a great salesman and more info on the greatest products we sell.
